Nook SS14

Nook is distinguished by its original locations and this season the SS14 took place in the Fronton Elorduy, where Rolando Santana, Kris Goyri and Mancandy as last year together with Roberto Sánchez presented their collections.

Roberto Sánchez opened the show with a collection full of leather details and daring silhouettes.

Than came Kris Goyri, who's one of my favourites with his collection Botánica 1.2
that is inspired by the flowers of the moon, like orchids and petunias that bloom at night. White, yellow, red and black in crepes and chiffones recreated pieces with natural, sensual, feminine and elegant silhouettes as every collection of this designer. Bravo!

Afterwards came Mancandy by Andrés Jiménez "redefining the conventional" with a collection that went from corny kisses to the modern grunge where he imprinted his stamp and style in silhouettes from the 40's with incredible varsity leather jackets, skirts with volume and denim ensembles. Pretty cool!

And in the end to close with a flourish, Mexican designer who triumphs in New York and is called the king of Neiman Marcus, Rolando Santana.
Who presented a collection called "Casa Azul" inspired indirectly by Frida Kahlo. The designer brought her confidence and strenght into classic silhouettes and sophisticated cuts in colors range from white and yellow to pastels through some floral prints. One of my favorite things in Rolando´s collections is the use of raffia. Splendid!
